CLARK'S PLAN
Keeping Gastonia Affordable
Gastonia has always offered something special — a great place to live, close to Charlotte, without Charlotte prices.
But that’s changing.
Costs are rising across the board — housing, utilities, taxes — and many families are being priced out of the city they love. Seniors are making impossible choices. Young people can’t afford to stay. Businesses struggle to grow.
We’re losing our advantage.
I’m running for City Council to keep Gastonia affordable — because without affordability, we lose the very thing that makes this city work for everyday people.

Issues

Lower Taxes & Fees
Fight to lower property taxes by attracting new businesses and growing our tax base — so
homeowners aren’t carrying the full burden.
Stop rising utility fees by prioritizing essential services.
Stop Runaway
Growth & Traffic
Gastonia is growing too fast, making traffic worse and stretching city services thin.
We need smarter planning for the future while protecting our past.

Grow The Right Way
Attract and support more businesses to broaden our tax base — so homeowners don’t carry the full load.
Market Gastonia as an affordable, accessible hub for companies priced out of Charlotte.
Affordable Living for All
Protect and expand affordable housing options so working families can stay.
Ensure utilities and services are priced fairly — no more automatic rate hikes without accountability.
